DESIGN MIAMI 2013

ACCIDENTAL POINT
A very belated recap

by Matylda Krzykowski of MATANDME and Sagel & Krzykowski
Miami, December 2013

My first time in Miami and after one of too many glasses of champagne I dropped my camera on the ground. That broke my lense. Or at least the UV-Filter that I purchased for my Sony Nex-7. No one was able to unscrew the filter from the lense. Even Miami Design in-house photographer James Harris dedicated his lunch break to try to help me (where he accidently shot the last image where I nervously pull my fingers) From day one taking pictures became an adventour. Sometimes the damage didn’t affect the images but depending on how the light would hit the lense the crack would show. Sometimes it’s a loss sometimes a stylistic win.
