A crowd funding campaign has now been launched on Indiegogo
in order to support funding for Post -Production of Jodorowsky’s “Endless Poetry” (Poesia Sin Fin).
On July 1st, after a first successful crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter (over $440,000 in 30 days) and two intense months of preproduction in Chile, 86 year old cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky finally began shooting his most recent feature -film “Endless Poetry” (Poesía Sin Fin).
Four weeks into the shoot and Alejandro’s vision has already taken form in some of the most poetic,aesthetic and enthralling images we’ve learned to expect from the legendary cult
-filmmaker… But now is the time to start preparing for the 7 month Post Production phase, scheduled to begin this September in Paris, France. “Endless Poetry” calls out to the world community in order to raise enough funds to be able to finish what may be Alejandro Jodorowsky’s last legacy to auteur cinema : “Endless Poetry”.

About Endless Poetry
ENDLESS POETRY portrays Alejandro Jodorowsky’s own young adulthood, set in the 1940s and 50s, in the electric capital city of Santiago. There, against all odds, he decides to become a poet and is
introduced, by destiny, into the foremost bohemian and artistic circle of the time. He meets Enrique Lihn, Stella Diaz Varín, Hugo Marín, Nicanor Parra… all young, promising and unknown Chilean artists who would later become the titans of modern literature.
Main Cast includes Adan and Brontis Jodorowsky as well as Jeremias Herskovits, opera soprano singer Pamela Flores, world renowned American choreographer Carolyn Carlson, Syrian Nobel Prize nominee poet Adonis and Japanese performer Kaori Ito; all shot through the lens of acclaimed cinematographer Christopher Doyle (aka Du Ke Feng), known for “In the Mood for Love”, “2046”, “Chungking Express”, “Lady in the Water”, “Hero”, “The Limits of Control” and countless other visual masterpieces. The postproduction of the Film will be made in Paris, France where director Jodorowsky will carry out the editing and color grading, with Maryline Monthieux (known for “Crimson Rivers”, “Gainsbourg, The Life of a Hero”, “Escobar: Paradise Lost”, “The Dance of Reality”) and Christopher Doyle respectively.
About Alejandro Jodorowsky
Accomplished artist Alejandro Jodorowsky is known internationally for his merits in film, literature and comic book authorship. Coined the “father of the midnight movie,” he is best
known for his avant- garde films ”El Topo” and ”The Holy Mountain” and has since been admired
by cult cinema enthusiasts of all generations for his ability to create powerful, poeticand surreal images. He has been a key figure in avant-garde artistic creation and out -of- the box thinking since the 1940s and 1950s, when he was growing up in Chile. A college dropout, he left Chile for Paris in 1953 where he joined André Breton’s surrealists group and studied pantomime with the great Etienne Decroux. He later went on to develop his vision oftheatre in Mexico, where he revolutionized popular aesthetics. He is also known for creating and developing Psycomagic, a form of therapy that aims to heal psychological wounds through the performance of certain prescribed acts that can directly tap into and heal the unconscious mind.
He has received countless awards and recognitions for his work,the most recent being Fleur Pellerin, French Minister of Culture decorating him “Officier del’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres”, an honor bestowed upon great talents such as Jorge Luis Borges, Bob Dylan, Jeanne Moreau, Paul Auster and Ray Bradbury among others.
