ICELAND IN 35MM
LUKAS KORSCHAN

Berlin-based photographer Lukas Korschan recently flew out to Iceland, staying 3 hours outside of Reykjavik,
capturing the captivating and diverse landscape whilst document his journey on 35mm Kodak Portra film.

Lukas explains, “Iceland is amazingly photogenic but at the same time so overexposed in terms of its aesthetic. I tried to find a unique angle and (juxtapose) images of the beautiful landscape with scenes in between that one could easily overlook. For a week I lived in a cabin the middle of nowhere – 3 hours drive from Reykjavik. During my stay I didn’t make it into the city but travelled with a truck through mountains, glaciers and beaches from the South to the East Coast. “

The journey documented below.
