Set in the stunning area of Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel du Collectionneur has alot to offer.

As you enter, bellboys greet you warmly as you walk through the chandelier-adorned reception. Whilst we waited for a colleague, the entrance holds lounges perfect for catching up on emails, watching passers-by and taking in the scale of the lobby which presents high ceilings and stunning features in crystal, beige and gold.

Staff are proud to work here, extremely pleasant and knowledgable of the Hotel’s offerings (which is always a good sign). Left to our own devices to explore, the staff were always on hand when we needed something (especially when on a tight time frame and papers needed to be printed before an interview – the staff couldn’t have worked faster to assist).

Granted 5 shining stars, this Hotel has everything on point, aside from the design. Tones of the Hotel are primarily warm, but the dominant colour-pattern is brown. This suggests an update may be needed, but can also work well with the Hotel’s older and loyal clientelle. Some details of furniture show wear, and an update on certain elements could benefit the hotel extremely.

Art deco frames adorn the 478 rooms, hallways and furniture throughout the building. Typical features are in each room, with everything you expect in place.

A view of the Eiffel Tower can be seen from the top floor, and the Hotel spa and sauna are the ideal places to relax. The Mosaic Spa is private and intimate,  with very few guests utilising this facility when we visited. We particularly liked the quiet setting, perfect to rest with your own thoughts, or to chat to another Hotel guest (as we did, to find they held the most interesting stories through their occupation).

A stones throw from the Champs Elysees, guests at the hotel know how to shop. They can retire to the beautiful garden and terrace during the day, where sculptures of the Danaides surround a flowing granite fountain (one of the largest hotel gardens in the French capital).

A gem in the heart of Paris, guests won’t be disappointed with the extremely accommodating attitude of the staff and the lengths L’Hotel du Collectionneur will go to to ensure a pleasant stay for all.
