Music guru & London DJ extraordinaire ALICE-SAYS, creates a grime, funk, soul mix for CHAMP.
Featuring classics William DeVaughn and Patrice Rushen, to World Famous Supreme Team & Malcolm Mclaren, to Kingdom feat Kelela and Affelaye.
It’s a highly unusual but surprisingly smooth journey from early 70s soul funk, leading to the birth of house and hip hop in the 80s, on to modern electronica. Throughout the mix, the tracks maintain the common thread of soulful or percussive African roots, peppered with delicate jazz and classical inspired motifs.
In essence this is a brief reflection and doffing of the cap on how since the start of the 20th century the rise and influence of African American and African British communities have continuously contributed to and consequently revolutionised modern music.

Just releasing her first EP on German label, Ominira Records – London-based producer Nabihah Iqbal aka Throwing Shade will be taking over the radio-waves soon. Literally she already is, gracing us with her presence each week on cult radio station NTS.
She brings only the best for good vibes – reggae & dub at it’s finest for easy listening.
Our favourite creative geniuses MEGAFORCE, the Parisian-based team behind Dizzee Rascal, Madonna & YeahYeahYeah’s video clips.
The boys bring a fusion of mystic electronica, abstract euro pop, dub and grime for a fun mix!
